- Classification Range: Sonographer, Grade 4 Year 1 - Year 4 (SO61 - SO65)*
- Salary Range: $126,079.20 - $149,823.96 per annum, based on qualifications and experience (excl. superannuation)
On 1st January 2026, five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health; a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1st January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
The Team & Role
The Tutor Sonographer will lead and enhance educational and training programs within the Ultrasound team, fostering a supportive learning environment. They will ensure clinical excellence through protocol development, competency reviews, and quality improvement initiatives. This role involves collaboration with the Ultrasound Supervisor and broader healthcare team, staying current with industry advancements. The Tutor Sonographer will also represent the department at educational events and may deputise for the Supervisor when required. A commitment to exceptional patient care and professional development is essential.

Skills and Experience Required
We anticipate you will have:
- ASAR membership or eligibility for registration with the ASAR
- Formal Ultrasound qualifications
- Previous experience as a Tutor Sonographer/Educator (desirable)
- Membership with ASA or ASUM is encouraged
