The Team & Role 

The Ward Clerk reports directly to the Nurse Unit Manager/ Administration Manager and is responsible for presenting a professional, welcoming and informative reception to patients and visitors within the unit. Additionally they provide efficient and effective general clerical support to the ANUM, Consultants and clinical staff respecting confidentiality at all times.

Skills & Experience Required 

  • Experience in administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated high level time management
  • Understands the purpose of, and is able to use common software applications and email
  • Sets personal standards of excellence and measures and delivers outcomes in a professional manner
  • Flexibility to work all shifts applicable to department and needs
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality at all time
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a demanding environment
