The Team & Role  

An opportunity exists for a Grade 1 Social Worker Social Worker to join the Peninsula Health Social Work Department in the Women’s and Children’s team. This role is available on a permanent, part time basis working four days per week (Thursdays and Fridays essential). The successful candidate will provide high quality social work services across both inpatient and outpatient settings including Children’s Ward, the Paediatric Diabetes Clinic, birthing & maternity services, joining experienced teams in a brand new hospital building. You will be responsible for completing psychosocial assessments, providing support to infants, children, adolescents & families and will demonstrate a sound knowledge of child development and safety. You will work within specialised multi-disciplinary teams including both internal and external service providers. You will receive regular supervision to enhance your professional development.

Skills & Experience Required
   
We anticipate you will have:  
• You will need to hold a Bachelor Degree or Qualifying Masters in Social Work. Post graduate studies are highly regarded and may be eligible for a higher education allowance.  
• As a multi-site organisation you may be required to work across sites. You will have access to our extensive pool of fleet cars and will need a Victorian Drivers licence.
