The Team & Role 

The position is for the provision of ambulatory care of children with diabetes with the support of either our local General Paediatric Endocrinology and/or specialised General Paediatrician(s). The provision of

 

support for Paediatricians during in-patient care for either newly diagnosed patients or patients requiring stabilisation may be requested infrequently.

The position would be for approximately 4 hours per fortnight to cover alternate weeks in the multi-disciplinary clinic which is currently held on Thursday mornings. The position would be working alongside our local General Paediatric Endocrinologist and other General Paediatricians within the clinic as well as ongoing upskilling/supervision of JMS staff.

Skills & Experience Required 

  • Medical Practitioner Registered in Australia.
  • FRACP (Paediatrics) - Either Endocrinology Subspecialty training, or for General Paediatrician applicants – some experience with Paediatric Diabetes management.
  • Relevant experience in management of diabetes in the paediatric/ adolescent population.
  • Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence-based practice in diabetes, including new technologies
