The Team & Role

The Occupational Therapy Grade One Rotation program at Peninsula Health includes rotations through inpatient acute, subacute and community settings. Rotations are of 6 months duration across Peninsula Health. A unique feature of the rotation program is the opportunity to rotate between mental health and physical programs.

Professional and operational management is through the Deputy Head and Head of Occupational Therapy. All our grade ones are fully supported by a grade two occupational therapist working on the same ward or closely in the same department. You have regular supervision and professional development to build the skills needed to be an independent therapist.

The Grade one occupational therapist competently provides occupational therapy assessments and interventions for patients/clients in the most appropriate environment to promote safe and effective discharges and prevent readmission.
