  • Employment status: Permanent Part Time, 3 days per week
  • Located in: Hastings
  • Classification: VW1-4 ( Grade 2 Year 1-4*) plus super

 

The Team & Role

 

This role responds to children with developmental delays, within the catchment, including disadvantaged communities, and involves:

 

  • Conducting individual assessments and interventions
  • Providing support to families and sector workers on the communication and developmental needs of children.
  • A holistic, family-centred approach, informed by the social model of health
  • Centre-based but may include outreach, consultancy, education, and group work. 
  • Facilitate referrals and linkages to other services.
  • Contributes to the discipline group responsible for delivering and coordinating speech pathology services in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Primarily based at Hastings with the possibility of work at other sites as per demand.

Skills & Experience Required

 

  • Qualification in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Holder of a current Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Demonstrated experience providing evidence-based speech pathology services to children and their families within the community sector, including group work
