What You Will Be Doing   

The Coding Auditor ensures the accuracy, integrity, and quality of coded data, working under the Coding Audit Manager to ensure compliance with Australian Coding Standards, VICC advice, and IHACPA guidelines. Collaborating closely with the CDI team, the Coding Auditor advises on clinical documentation and its impact on coding quality. This role also involves providing coded patient data, participating in quality improvement activities, and maintaining professional links within Peninsula Health.

What You Need  

We anticipate you will have:  

  • Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent / higher qualification
  • Eligibility for registration with the Health Information managers Association of Australia (HIMAA)
  • Excellent knowledge of clinical coding principals and standards
  • HIMAA Auditing Qualification (desirable)

*Please refer to Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
