The Team & Role
The Administration Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of services across Community Health, Ambulatory Services, Community Care, and ACCESS. As a key member of the administration team, this role ensures the smooth day‑to‑day operation of reception areas and provides high‑quality administrative support that underpins positive client and clinician experiences.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, the Administration Assistant is often the first point of contact for people accessing our services. The role requires a professional, welcoming, and confidential approach when engaging with patients, consumers, clinicians, and external stakeholders. Responsibilities span reception duties, client admissions and discharges, appointment coordination, records management, fee processing, and the coordination of additional supports such as transport and interpreter services.
This role supports the client journey by following established workflows, maintaining accurate information across multiple IT systems, and responding efficiently to administrative requests. Flexibility is essential, as the position may work across different Peninsula Care sites to meet service delivery needs. The Administration Assistant contributes to a respectful, supportive team culture and plays an important role in ensuring services operate efficiently, safely, and in line with organisational procedures and values.
