What You Will Be Doin

Peninsula Health’s Cognitive, Dementia and Memory Service (CDAMS) is a specialist diagnostic service for people with declining memory and changes to their thinking (cognition), servicing clients, and supporting their carers, in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula areas. CDAMS provides assessment, diagnosis, education and support, referral and links to other services as required. 

As a Cognition Clinician you will be an integral part of the CDAMS team which involves involves completing comprehensive assessments, risk assessments where necessary, participate in the operations of delivering a safe, timely and equitable service to clients.

The Cognition Clinician (Allied Health)  is seeking a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist or Social Worker for this Maternity Leave , limited term full time position based at The Mornington Centre

What You Need  

We anticipate you will have:  

•    Current registration with National Registration board (AHPRA) for registered professions or Member, or eligible for membership of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for Social Work.

•    Demonstrated experience in assessment of people with a cognitive impairment
•    Demonstrated knowledge of best practice of the diagnostic process for people with a cognitive impairment
•    Demonstrated knowledge of aged care, community supports and services
•    Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
•    Demonstrated organisational ability in time management
•    Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, flexibly and conjointly with staff from other disciplines as part of a client focused multidisciplinary team
•    Current and valid Victorian Drivers Licence 

•     Relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable)

*Please refer to salary circular  Allied Health Services Award 2021-2025 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
