The Team & Role

The Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant (AHA) will competently provide Physiotherapy (PT) and Speech Pathology (SP) intervention for patients at The Mornington Centre (TMC) under the guidance of the treating PT or SP. This role requires a multidisciplinary, person-centred approach to provide efficient and safe patient care. Therapy may be provided as individual patient sessions or in a group format. This position also includes administrative and non-clinical tasks such as equipment ordering, maintenance, cleaning and other duties as directed.

Skills & Experience Required

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
• Experience working in a subacute inpatient health care setting.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to use a wide range of software applications, including hospital databases and Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• The ability to take an organised and methodical approach to the prioritisation of tasks.
