On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education, and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.
The Team & Role
The Older Persons Mental Health and Wellbeing Service Inpatient Unit is a 12 bed acute inpatient unit, located at Peninsula University Hospital, Frankston. This unit caters for older adults who have mental health issues that require assessment and treatment. It consists of a multi-disciplinary treating team, including Consultant Psychiatrist, Medical, Nursing and Allied Health staff.
Within this multidisciplinary team framework, the Grade 2 Clinical Neuropsychologist will provide specialist neuropsychological services to older adult consumers. These services include neuropsychological assessment, diagnostic formulation, and the preparation of clinical reports and other documentation, as required. The Grade 2 Neuropsychologist will also provide consultation, support, and appropriate interventions to inform/advise on treatment and management strategies. In addition, the Grade 2 Neuropsychologist will also provide consultation to other staff, and support and psychoeducation to consumers and carers.
The Grade 2 Neuropsychologist will deliver a responsive and evidence based service, working closely and collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:
Minimum Masters level qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology
· General registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Practitioner Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
· Hold endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia, or in a Registrar Program to obtain endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology as an approved area of practice
· Demonstrated experience and competence in completing neuropsychological assessments, including assessment of decision making capacity (DMC) and completing reports and other written documentation as required
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
