 On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.  

The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

 The Team & Role

The Community Rehabilitation Program (CRP) is a goal-oriented multidisciplinary service that provides short-term rehabilitation for people recovering from an illness, injury, surgery and/or hospitalisation.

Community Rehabilitation Program has a current vacancy for a fixed term Grade 2 Occupational Therapist. As an OT you will work with an interdisciplinary CRP team to support clients achieve their rehabilitation goals. The role involves centre based and home based service delivery, with a strong emphasis on client focused goal setting and team approach.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Able to competently perform high quality Occupational Therapy in rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment and discharge planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in neurological and general rehabilitation, preferably in a community setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous and innovative improvement through quality and research activities.
  • Current Victorian drivers licence
