Bayside Health is a public health service delivering high-quality care across every stage of life for close to 1.2 million people living in metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland.

We have more than 15 main sites, including hospitals, centres and clinics that provide comprehensive care from welcoming newborns to supporting older people and a full range of services in between.

More than 22,000 dedicated staff are focussed on providing exceptional, equitable, and locally connected care through shared expertise, compassion, and a commitment to continuous growth. Education and training are central to staff development as we encourage all employees to strive and thrive.

Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.

The Team & Role

Join our Peninsula At Home Subacute team, a 7‑day multidisciplinary service delivering evidence‑based rehabilitation in patients’ homes across the Peninsula. Our model shifts subacute care from hospital to community, supporting recovery, function and quality of life with input from allied health, nursing, pharmacy and medical teams. Care is provided across multiple streams, including support to Hospital in the Home (HITH) and Home‑Based Cancer Care.

We are recruiting Grade 1 and Grade 2 Occupational Therapists to provide flexible, person‑centred care for patients requiring rehabilitation (general, orthopaedic and neurological), geriatric evaluation and palliative care. Therapy is delivered through home visits, clinics, group programs and telehealth, offering an alternative to inpatient admission.

Grade 1 Occupational Therapists will deliver evidence‑based assessment and intervention under the supervision of senior clinicians, with strong support for learning and development. This newly created role forms part of the Better@Home initiative and may support the broader Health Independence Program.

Grade 2 Occupational Therapists will provide advanced clinical care and contribute to leadership, supervision and service development within the team.

This opportunity suits clinicians who value collaboration, critical thinking and meaningful community‑based care.
