The Team & Role 

The Patient Services Assistant is an integral member of the Support Services team, delivering services across customer service, food service, cleaning and transportation. The role supports a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff. It ensures high standards of customer service, maintains a hygienic and safe environment in line with Public Hospital Cleaning Standards (2011), and performs duties efficiently. The position upholds Food Safety Standards as outlined in the Peninsula Health Food Safety Programs, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) and relevant policies.

Skills & Experience Required 

  • Certificate III in Patient Services Assistance or Certificate III in Health Services Assistance  
  • Certificate II in Food Safety for Food Handlers
  • Ability to recognises the formal structure of an organisation and its policies and procedures
  • Previous experience in a health care setting (desirable)
