The Team & Role
This role supports Peninsula Health’s Private and Compensable Patient Initiative by working directly with patients and their families to explain funding options, provide Informed Financial Consent, and promote the benefits of private health insurance. The position is responsible for identifying privately insured, compensable and overseas ineligible patients at admission, conducting health fund eligibility checks, assisting with administrative requirements and fee collection, and ensuring accurate patient classification and documentation. Through effective communication, data auditing, compliance with funding requirements and timely administrative processes, the role plays a key part in delivering a positive patient experience while maximising revenue opportunities for Peninsula Health.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with computerised hospital admission systems and MS Office
- Previously worked in health care environment
