On 1 January 2026 five health services (Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service) will come together to create Bayside Health. A newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians.
The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

What You Will Be Doing
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local Service is an integrated wellbeing and support service delivered through partnership in Frankston. Operating six days a week with extended hours, we provide clinical support, care, and wellbeing services to people aged 26+ experiencing mental health challenges, including co-occurring substance use or addiction.
The service is community-led and co-designed by consumers, carers, and the local community. Wellways is the lead agency and works in a partnership with Peninsula Health and Mentis Assist.
As a valuable member of the multidisciplinary team, the psychologist undertakes discipline-specific assessment, formulation and treatment. Treatment involves providing individual psychological work that is formulation driven and informed by a range of evidence-based models, to people experiencing significant and enduring mental health problems.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Current AHPRA general registration as a psychologist
- Experience in mental health
- Experience in conducting psychological assessments, including personality assessments and developing psychological formulations

*Please refer to Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists Victorian Public Sector (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 salary circular for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
