What You Will Be Doing
The Senior Clinical Social Worker is required to provide evidence-informed care to patients through advanced clinical skills, effective communication, and active participation within a multidisciplinary team environment. The position involves completing comprehensive psychosocial assessments, risk assessments and intervention plans in consultation with patients and their families and carers to assist in discharge planning from hospital and promote safety and wellbeing. The Senior Clinical Social Worker will be required to identify and respond appropriately to risk.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- Member, or eligible for membership of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience post-graduation.
- Advanced clinical skills in hospital social work interventions including comprehensive assessment, counselling, advocacy and discharge planning
- Proven ability to independently manage a demanding workload and effectively prioritise tasks
- Clinical supervision skills and demonstrated experience in the provision of supervision to both staff and students
- Demonstrated ability to develop and empower others through positive role modelling, mentoring and training
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels, strong conceptual skills to manage and negotiate conflict and ability to positively implement change
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to articulate social work practice based on practice proficiency and familiarity with social work theory
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Current Working with Children Check and Victorian Drivers Licence

*Please refer to salary circular for ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2026 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
