 What You Will Be Doing

The Senior Mental Health Perinatal Clinician, as a member of the multidisciplinary team, Peninsula Health is committed to improve the prevention, early detection and treatment of ante and post-natal mental illness, and to provide better support pathways for women experiencing perinatal mental health issues.

The Perinatal Mental Health Team aims to provide early interventions for women at risk of or experiencing mental health issues during the course of pregnancy and beyond. The service is available to pregnant women booked to deliver their baby at Peninsula Health, are referred by the Women’s Ambulatory Clinic or Women’s Health Unit staff and have agreed to the referral and further assessment of their mental health needs.

This role is fixed term for 2 years, 5 days per week based in Frankston.

 What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

• Registered Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration.

• RPN ONLY: Post graduate qualification in Mental Health or specialist undergraduate Mental Health Program.

• Experience and passion for providing comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment and support for women with significant mental health difficulties in the perinatal period.
