The Team & Role 

This crucial role will facilitate quality Men's Behaviour Change Groups by working within a group context with men using violence to enhance the safety of women and children. You will primarily facilitate men's behaviour change groups but may also be asked to conduct assessments, provide case management, and engage in flexible intervention delivery practice for AUFV. This role will acknowledge and work with the understanding of violence as primarily being gender based whilst also holding the complexities of trauma and life experiences in a holistic approach to practice.

•    Undertake all aspects of MBCP group co-facilitation work including planning, preparation, session delivery, de-briefing and documentation in accordance with Family Safety Victoria/No To Violence Men’s Behaviour Change Program Minimum Standards and Peninsula Health Policy 
•    Perform complex assessments, deliver case management and other client centred interventions to support healing and the cessation of violence

Skills & Experience Required 

  • Relevant qualifications in Social Sciences or related field.
  • Qualifications must align with the Mandatory Minimum Qualification Requirements for Specialist Family Violence Practitioner (Recommendation 209)
  •  Hold a Family Violence Grad Cert (Men's) or be working towards completion by an agreed date.
  • Proven MBCP group facilitation
  •  Experience working with male perpetrators who use violence and ideally in specialist family violence services
