The Team & Role
Working within the School Readiness Funding Program, you will support eligible early childhood services within the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula catchment.
A Day in the Life
- Start your day with flexible planning time at home before heading out to local kinders, and then head into the office.
- Travel the beautiful Mornington Peninsula in a fleet vehicle to support 1–2 early learning services.
- No traditional caseload – use your clinical skills to build educator and family capacity
- Co-design with multidisciplinary colleagues and deliver practical, evidence-based professional learning for teachers on topics such as Neuroaffirming practice, Key Word Sign, Phonological Awareness, Hanen teacher Talk, and Understanding Childhood Development, or a relevant area you're passionate about.
- Collaborate side-by-side with multidisciplinary colleagues, including OT's, Psychology, and Social Work
- Join Communities of Practice with Speech Pathologists delivering the SRF program across Victoria.
- Attend Speech Pathology discipline meetings within the Children’s Services team.
- Access individual and group supervision with a senior Speech Pathologist.
- Collaborate with other teams within the Bayside Health network, e.g., Health Promotion Team
- Receive fully funded training, including Language Learning and Loving It (Hanen).

Skills & Experience Required
- Recognised qualification in Speech Pathology and maintain practicing membership of SPA
- Demonstrated ability to deliver capability building and coaching to educators and families to promote skills and knowledge in child development. This includes skills in presenting to small and large groups.
- Possess well developed knowledge and practice skills in the delivery of evidence-based speech pathology interventions to children and their families
