The Team & Role  

As the friendly first contact for patients and visitors to Peninsula Care Group and Peninsula University Hospital, this multi-faceted role is responsible for dealing with phone and reception desk enquiries.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Assist visitors and staff with directions in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Demonstrated ability to operate the Switchboard and other relevant software associated with this role.
• Able to calmly deal with internal and external emergency calls/respond codes
• Assist with patient enquiries over the phone or in person in a friendly manner

Skills & Experience Required 

• Basic Computer Skills
• A strong understanding and experience with customer service
• Previous Switchboard / Reception experience     
• Aware of, interprets and applies policies
• Understands the purpose of, and is able to use, common software applications
• Clear speaking voice
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• Previous experience in a health setting (desirable)
