The Team & Role

 

Our Operating Suite is a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary environment where teamwork, professionalism, and patient safety are at the centre of everything we do. As a Theatre Technician - Grade 3, you’ll play a key role in supporting safe, high‑quality surgical care across all specialties within the operating suite.

 

Working with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, you’ll contribute your technical expertise, adaptability, and strong communication skills to a fast‑paced and varied setting. This role suits a motivated team player who values continuous learning, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care, safety, and infection control in line with Peninsula Health policies.

Skills & Experience Required

 

Essential:

  • Hold a Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Support (HLT47515); or, 
  • An equivalent qualification awarded by a registered training organisation, recognised by the Employer as such Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Theatre Technician)  or equivalent
  • Has greater than twenty-four (24) months experience (full-time equivalent) working as a Theatre Technician.
  • Computer Experience

Desirable:

  • Recent experience as a Theatre Technician in a public/private Hospital
