What You Will Be Doing
This position involves the provision and oversight of the ultrasound training program for trainee sonographers, including developing and implementing learning protocols in ultrasound training for all sonography staff. The Tutor Sonographer is responsible for the conducting of ultrasound examinations and producing diagnostic images in line with the accepted policies/procedures and clinical practice guidelines of Peninsula Health. The Tutor Sonographer may be required to undertake educational activities and administrative activities and be available if required for participation in the after-hours on-call and shift roster. The Tutor Sonographer will actively take on a clinical leadership role with respect to junior staff and departmental education activities, research and the continuing professional development programme. The Tutor Sonographer will be responsible for the organisation of Ultrasound Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events. The Tutor Sonographer will be responsible for effectively coordinating the operations and prioritise workflow of the rostered modality as directed by the Ultrasound Supervisor.

What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
- ASAR membership or eligibility for registration with the ASAR and formal Ultrasound qualifications
- Produces accurate written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
- Confidently conveys ideas and information in a clear and interesting way and listens to feedback.
- Is able to use common software applications and is competent across the Microsoft Office suite.
- Plans and prioritises to ensure outcomes are achieved.
- Seeks all relevant information for problem solving and evaluates effectiveness and adjusts actions as required.

- Aware of, interprets and applies relevant policies and guidelines.

*Please refer to salary circular for Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Health Sector) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
